Neus Palomeras and Eduardo Melero are Associate Professors of UC3M Business, David Wehrheim is their former Ph.D. student now Assistant Professor at IESE Business School.Neus, Eduardo and David’s paper examines how obtaining patent protection affects the mobility of early-career employee-inventors. Their results show how obtaining one additional patent reduces the probability of employee turnover by as much as 23%. Research analyses workforce reduction policies in family firms
A study carried out by INDEM researchers, the LIUC Università Cattaneo and the University of Foggia indicates that family business tend to protect their employees more than non-family businesses, by generally avoiding workforce reduction practices.
