Research Interests
His academic interests focus primarily on research and teaching on financial topics, especially in the areas of Derivatives (Real Options), Financial Economics (Investments), Behavioral Finance, Risk Management, Microfinance, and the External Sector of the Economy (Compensation Trade and International Finance).

David Camino is Professor of Financial Economics at the Carlos III University of Madrid, where he also directs the University Institute of Law and Economics.
A graduate in Business Administration from the University of Barcelona, he studied Law at the UNED and obtained a degree, MBA and Doctorate in Economic and Business Sciences from the Autonomous University of Madrid. He has also completed postgraduate studies at the London School of Economics and at Harvard University, where he obtained a Master's degree in Public Administration, with a grant from the Fulbright Commission.
He has been a researcher and visiting professor at several universities and higher education institutions, and his professional experience includes stays in several countries in Europe, Asia and Latin America, working for both Spanish and multinational institutions and companies. He also has experience in the public sector, as Deputy Director General of Economic Management in the General Directorate of Universities of the Ministry of Education and Culture and as a member of the Advisory Board for Insurance and Pension Funds of the Ministry of Economy.
