Miriam Sánchez-Manzanares is a Tenured Professor in the Department of Business Economics at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. She holds a PhD in Organizational and Work Psychology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Extraordinary Doctorate Award) and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She also completed a Master's Degree in Human Resources Management from the Official Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Madrid. During her doctoral studies, she completed several research stays in the Department of Human Resources Management and Organizational Behavior at the University of Groningen (Netherlands).

Currently, she teaches courses on Organizational Behavior and Leadership in the Bachelor of Business Administration, Master in Management and Research Master in Business & Finance at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

Her research interests focus on the impact of diversity on teamwork and effectiveness; shared cognition, adaptation to changing situations and team performance; and collaboration in virtual work contexts. Her works have been published in prestigious international journals, such as Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Journal of Business and Psychology and European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology.

In addition, she collaborates as a reviewer of articles in several international journals, such as Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Business Research, European Management Review, Small Group Research and Journal of Personnel Psychology.
