Our colleague Juan Manuel has gained a civil servant position as Full Professor in Accounting. Everybody in this Department knows the brilliant CV of Juan Manuel. His research output is outstanding (he is known internationally as a reference in accounting conservatism); his teaching performance is also very remarkable (his scores are systematically among the top 10 of the Department) and he has been actively involved in administrative tasks in the Department as a first Deputy Chair. Juan Manuel has presented in a brilliant way a very interesting research paper on accounting conservatism as part of his exam in front of the evaluation committee.Congratulations Juan Manuel!

Paula Santana Mayorala presented the essay “Playing to be an Accountant”, coordinated by Beatríz García Osma, Full Professor in Accounting at UC3M.The second prize was given to Ángela Guirado González, student of the UC3M´s Dual Bachelor in International Studies and Business Administration for the essay “All roads lead to Accounting”, coordinated by Mónica López-Puertas Lamy.
