The 12th edition of the Accounting Research Symposium took place in Madrid the week of June 27th. This edition, directed by Prof. Leandro Cañibano (UAM) and coordinated by Dr. Beatriz García (UC3M), was attended by over 60 participants: academics, PhD students
and professionals from the ICJCE/AT1 attended the nine sessions of the
Symposium, which was hosted by the Fundación Ramón Areces, and organized
in collaboration with INDEM.Amongst the speaker, this year, the Symposium had lectures by distinguished guest speakers Henri Dekker, Daniel Ferreira, Kevin Jackson, Christian Leuz, Per Olsson, Bill Rees and Hanno Roberts. In addition, we hosted a Colloquium on Writing by Susan Hancock to orient early stage researchers on how to write and publish their manuscripts.Over 35 participants submitted papers for presentation in the two
sessions dedicated to participant presentations. Finally, 18 papers were
accepted for presentation. Thanks to the collaboration of the Cátedra
UAM-Auditores Madrid and the Fundación Ramón Areces, 16 participants
received full scholarships to attend the Symposium.
