Recent advances in asset pricing and asset management

The event is a meeting of experts at the highest level in finance on portfolio management and asset valuation.

The objective is to get a close view of the most cutting-edge innovations in the following fields:

  1. Asset management, with the assistance of Andrew Ang, chief investment officer of the world’s largest asset manager; Luis M. Viceira, dean of Harvard Business School and renowned researcher in the area of asset management, and Luis M. Viceira, dean of Harvard Business School and renowned researcher in the area of asset management.
  2. Asset valuation, with presentations by Fernando Zapatero, professor at Boston University and renowned researcher in the field; Sydney Ludgvinson, professor at New York University and Co-Director of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER).
  3. Regulation, with a lecture by José M. Campa, Chairman of the European Banking Authority (EBA).

The scientific-technical interest lies in the opportunity for academics and professionals to learn about the latest developments in asset management in general and factor investing in particular, as well as the impact of the European Banking Authority regulation and its implications on the European banking sector.

We will take the opportunity of this meeting to honor the contribution of Prof. Gonzalo Rubio, Professor of Financial Economics and founder of the Spanish Finance Association, on the occasion of his retirement.
