Marta Macías is a Tenured Professor of Accounting in the Department of Business Economics at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. She holds a doctorate in Economic and Business Sciences from the University of Jaén and a degree in Economic and Business Sciences from the University of Seville. She teaches various accounting subjects in undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

Her research focuses on the analysis of change in accounting information systems, and the results have been published in journals such as Abacus, European Accounting Review, Accounting Historians Journal, and Accounting Business and Financial History.
